Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2026 · Last updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ham Technologies, LLC ("we", "us", the
developer of the Skyladder application identified by com.hamtechnologies.skyladder)
handles information in connection with the Skyladder mobile app ("Skyladder",
"the app"). Questions? Contact support@sky-ladder.com.
The short version
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Skyladder has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server that receives information about you.
- We never sell, use, or disclose any data to third parties, for any purpose. There is nothing for us to sell or share: the app sends us nothing.
- Everything you configure stays on your device — your subscriptions, your servers, your settings. We never see it.
- Skyladder is a client. It connects to VPN/proxy servers that you provide from a third‑party provider. We do not operate those servers and cannot see the content of your traffic — that is governed by your provider's privacy practices, not ours.
1. What Skyladder is
Skyladder is a tool for connecting your device to VPN/proxy servers that you obtain from a third‑party VPN provider (by pasting a subscription link, scanning a QR code, or opening a configuration file). Skyladder itself does not include, host, or sell any servers, and it does not provide the connection's exit point — your chosen provider does. Because of this, we have no visibility into your browsing or the content of your network traffic.
2. Information we do not collect
We designed Skyladder to keep your information on your device. We do not:
- require or offer any account, login, email address, or phone number;
- collect analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry of any kind;
- include advertising or advertising identifiers;
- use third‑party tracking or crash‑reporting SDKs;
- log, inspect, or retain your network traffic or the sites/services you connect to;
- receive your subscription links, server details, passwords, or settings on any server we operate — because we do not operate one.
3. Information stored on your device
To do its job, Skyladder stores the following locally on your device only, in the app's private storage. This information is not transmitted to us:
- Subscriptions and servers you add — including the subscription URL, server hostnames/IP addresses, ports, and the credentials (passwords or keys) your provider issued to you. These are needed to establish the connection.
- App settings — outbound mode, routing rules, MTU, per‑app routing (where supported), notification preferences, theme, and language.
- Transient measurements — recent connection‑speed and latency readings shown on the dashboard, used only to render the interface.
You can remove this information at any time by deleting a subscription or uninstalling the app.
4. Network connections the app makes
Skyladder makes network requests in the following situations. In each case the remote endpoint sees your device's IP address, as it would for any ordinary internet request; we do not receive or store this information.
- Your subscription provider. When you add or refresh a subscription, the app fetches the server list from the subscription URL you provided (over HTTPS). This goes to your provider, not to us.
- The VPN/proxy servers you select. When connected, your traffic is routed to the server you chose, which is operated by your provider.
- Connectivity and IP checks. To help you confirm the VPN is working, the app
can fetch your public IP from Cloudflare
(
cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace) and, as a fallback, ipify (api.ipify.org), and run a connectivity test to a Cloudflare endpoint (cp.cloudflare.com). These third parties receive the request under their own privacy policies. - DNS resolution. Within the tunnel, DNS queries are resolved using a
DNS‑over‑HTTPS resolver (by default Cloudflare,
1.1.1.1).
We do not add identifiers, tracking parameters, or personal data to any of these requests.
5. Third‑party providers and services
- Your VPN provider. The server you connect through is operated by a third party you chose. Your traffic, and any logging of it, is subject to that provider's privacy policy and terms — please review them. We are not responsible for third‑party providers or servers.
- Cloudflare / ipify. Used only for the connectivity and IP checks and DNS described above.
- Open‑source components. Skyladder uses the open‑source Xray‑core / libXray proxy engine (Mozilla Public License 2.0) and other libraries, which run locally on your device and do not send your data to us.
6. Permissions
- VPN — to establish the tunnel and route your traffic to your chosen server.
- Camera — used only when you scan a QR code to import a server. Images are processed on your device; no photo or image is uploaded or stored by us.
- Notifications — used only if you enable Subscription alerts or Connection alerts, to notify you locally. These are generated on your device.
- Vibration — for optional haptic feedback.
- Network state / internet — to detect connectivity and make the requests in Section 4.
7. Backups
Skyladder lets you create an optional encrypted backup of your subscriptions and settings. When you do, the backup is encrypted on your device with a passphrase you choose (PBKDF2, 210,000 iterations, HMAC‑SHA‑256, and AES‑256‑GCM), and the file is handed to your operating system's share/save sheet so you decide where it goes. We never receive the backup file, and without your passphrase no one — including us — can read it. You are responsible for keeping your passphrase safe; it cannot be recovered.
8. Children's privacy
Skyladder is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — inherent in the app's design, since it does not collect personal information from anyone.
9. Data security
- Your subscriptions, credentials, and settings are stored in the app's private storage, protected by the operating system's app sandbox.
- Production builds are not debuggable and disable cleartext (non‑HTTPS) traffic for the app's own requests.
- Backups are encrypted as described in Section 7.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and the security of your traffic beyond your device depends on the provider and servers you choose.
10. International users
Because Skyladder does not collect or transmit your personal data to us, there is no transfer of your personal data to us across borders. Any data that leaves your device does so as part of a connection you initiated to a provider or server you selected, or to the connectivity endpoints listed in Section 4.
11. Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, we have nothing to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control of the information stored on your device and can delete it at any time within the app or by uninstalling it. For any privacy‑related request, contact support@sky-ladder.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app or on this website. Your continued use of Skyladder after an update means you accept the revised policy.
